About

The picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds provides the setting for the wonderful Laceby Manor Estate, a gloriously laid-back retreat that offers days and stays of pure relaxation. Set amid 150 acres of lovely countryside in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this is one of those places that will surely call you back time after time.

There’s a brand new spa waiting to be savoured here, as well as a fully-equipped gym. In the spa area, you’ll also find a Finnish sauna, a hammam, a swimming pond and an indoor/outdoor pool. Unwinding without a care in the world is so easy here, so make sure you come and find out for yourself as soon as possible.

And if you’re looking to stay over, you’re surely going to fall in love with the accommodation options that are waiting to be discovered. Take your pick from sumptuous spa suites, Scandinavian-inspired lodges, each with their own outdoor sunken hot tub, or classic wooden pods that are perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway.

Be sure to explore the local area when you get time away from all that indulgence, too. The Heritage Centre is fascinating, while the waterfall at Cleethorpes offers an excellent photo opportunity. There’s plenty of retail therapy to be enjoyed in nearby Sheffield and Leeds, and if you have a head for heights why not head to the Humber Bridge and walk or cycle across?

The Spa & Wellness at The Spa at Laceby Manor

Oozing cool, Scandi style, this eco-conscious sanctuary of tranquility will spoil you, from top to toe. With neutral and green hues, wooden panelling, trendy lighting panels and plants, Laceby Manor’s spa exudes laidback luxury. In fact, step through the spa’s chic front doors and you’ll feel like you’re in the pages of an interior design magazine.

Fluffy robe on, let your journey of sheer delight begin. First, pad your slipper-clad feet along to the reading room, to sink into a cosy armchair and flick through a magazine while a spa butler brings you a prosecco. If only all libraries were this relaxing!

Then it’s time to invigorate your senses in the thermal suite. The fabulous facilities here include an inside/outside vitality pool with stunning views, an aromatherapy steam room, a Finnish sauna and herbal sauna. Bathe in the warm heat - but will you be able to brave the chilly waters of the natural swimming pool afterwards?

Keep the bliss going with a treatment. The self-applied mud rasul is perfect for couples, or try a hammam. Lie on the heated bed to be scrubbed and massaged, Turkish-style. and traditional Turkish-inspired Hammam treatments.

Results-driven facials and body treatments from 111Skin were developed by the world’s leading cosmetic surgeon, while massages will revive your body, your soul and your joie de vivre.

Treatment over, it’s time to retire to a couchette, safe in the knowledge that this colourful cocoon is uniquely yours. Based on carriages from the Orient Express train, couchettes are the spa’s beautifully-decorated private relaxing rooms - yours for a blissful 50-minute post-treatment snooze.

The Gym & Fitness at The Spa at Laceby Manor

Get ready to crush your workout goals in style. The purpose-built fitness hub lets you look out over stunning countryside views as you lunge and squat. You’ll feel like you’re exercising outdoors - only there’s air conditioning to cool you down!

Fitness here feels every bit as luxurious as the swish spa, thanks to state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, a healthy café, smoothie bar and complimentary bottled water, along with towels and VOYA shower products. From strength training to cardio, you can work your whole body, plus there’s an expert team of coaches and trainers on-hand to explain how to use all the machines.

Pump some iron at the free weights, then work up a sweat with some cardio - take your pick from treadmills, bikes, cross-trainers or rowing machines.

Want to workout in the sunshine? No problem. There’s a challenging golf course that’s perfect for sports lovers. But if a hike is more your thing, you’re in luck. Not only does Laceby Manor have 150 acres of countryside to explore, its Lincolnshire Wolds location puts the whole of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at your fingertips. Honestly cannot explain how absolutely fabulous the morning was. We were welcomed by lovely Jackie on reception who checked us in. We were shown to the state of the art gym, then used the steam room and one of the saunas, before trying outdoor fresh water plunge pool. Next we tried the smaller sauna which had eucalyptus oil circulating, (great for blocked sinuses and clearing the head) We slipped our robes on and went upstairs to the quiet relaxation room, which overlooked the beautiful grounds. Next a shower with all products available, hairdryers even straighteners. They have thought of everything! We finished our day, with a buffet lunch and dessert, which was yummy! Really didn't want to go home. Just a beautiful place and a real treat. Spotlessly clean. Will definitely be back. Thank you ❤️

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Spa at Laceby Manor do afternoon tea?

If your spa package to Laceby Manor includes afternoon tea, you’re in for a treat. Pinkie fingers at the ready because three tiers of freshly prepared sandwiches, cakes and scones await you - and you don’t even need to leave the comfort of your fluffy robe to enjoy it.

Freshly prepared every day, afternoon tea is served beside the cosy log burner in the spa’s very own Oak Room restaurant, or you can even scoff, sip and socialise outside on the terrace if the weather’s nice.

If your spa package doesn’t include afternoon tea, that doesn’t mean you’ll miss out. The Clubhouse at Laceby Manor is fabulously informal and has its own unique take on the pampering treat. Its Tiffin Tea, served in traditional Indian tiffin boxes, can be enjoyed in the restaurant, picnic-style in the grounds or from the comfort of your own lodge.

Does the Spa at Laceby Manor have a swimming pool?

The Spa at Laceby Manor has a deliciously warm, indoor/outdoor vitality pool with a swim-through glass door feature. It’s more for lounging than laps - and for letting those underwater jets massage away your aches and pains while you admire fantastic views across the golf course.

Feeling adventurous? There is another swimming option on offer at Laceby Manor, but it’s not a pool as such. The resort has its own natural swimming pond! Great for cooling off after you’ve been in the thermal suite, it’s bracing enough to give you all of wild swimming’s detoxifying, circulation-boosting benefits.

What facilities are on offer at the Spa at Laceby Manor?

The eco-conscious spa is perfect for holistic, sustainable health and wellness. Guests can enjoy the massage jets in the indoor/outdoor vitality pool overlooking the golf course, or soak up the heat in the aroma steam room, herbal sauna or Finnish sauna. There’s a mud rasul, a hammam and plenty of spa terraces to enjoy.

But it also offers fabulous features that you just won’t find elsewhere. The natural swimming pond isn’t just the perfect way to cool off after your sauna. Accessed via a purpose-built deck and stairs, it offers all the mental and physical benefits of cold water immersion. The spa also offers couchettes - private post-treatment relaxation rooms with ornate decoration, reserved just for you.

Does the Spa at Laceby Manor have accommodation?

The perfect end to a pampering spa break? Being able to drift off to sleep in luxury. Luckily, The Spa at Laceby Manor lets you do just that in fabulous lodges, pods and spa suites that will all help you feel closer to nature.

If there’s a group of you, try a two-bedroom lodge, or for a couple’s retreat with a difference go for a romantic pod nestled in the gardens. Both feature outdoor sunken hot tubs and views across the parkland golf course. Or, for the ultimate pampering spa break, stay in a luxurious spa suite overlooking the lake. Each one features a terrace with an outdoor brushed nickel bathtub and its own rainshower.

What are the check-in and check-out times at the Spa at Laceby Manor?

For overnight stays, room check-in is usually from 3pm for the pods and from 4pm for the lodges, while checkout time is 10am, but do check your booking confirmation as times may vary. Here on a day spa package? Morning and full-day spa breaks start at either 9am or 10pm, while afternoon spa packages begin at around 1.30pm.

Where is the Spa at Laceby Manor located?

You’ll find Laceby Manor near Grimsby - some 40 minutes from the historic city of Lincoln and 15 minutes from the sea-side town of Cleethorpes. It’s right on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty full of hills, valleys, streams, and villages just waiting to be explored. Pack your walking boots as it’s too pretty to miss.

Is the Spa at Laceby Manor family-friendly?

The Spa at Laceby Manor is strictly adults-only. This includes the Oak Room restaurant, which is also for those aged 18 and above.

Laceby Manor itself does allow children and has a variety of two-bedroom lodges on offer, as well as cots and highchairs available at an extra charge. But, while kids will undoubtedly love the hot tubs and all the space to run around in, there aren’t any playgrounds or children’s activities on offer, here just lashings of natural beauty and fresh air.

But child-friendly activities can be enjoyed nearby. Just a 20-minute drive from Laceby Manor, Cleethorpes Leisure Centre has a 25-metre fitness pool, flume, waves and even its own beach.

Is the Spa at Laceby Manor pet-friendly?

We’ll leave you to break the news to your furry friend, but Laceby Manor does not allow dogs.

Does the Spa at Laceby Manor have a golf course?

It does, and it’s a beauty. Perfect if you love to combine golf with wellness, the 18-hole, par-72 parkland course was built in the 1990s, but has beautifully matured into one of the area’s top places to tee off. Enjoy natural woodland, sparkling streams and plenty of challenging bunkers and water features.
