Spa experience was beautiful surroundings, food, staff all really lovely. We stayed in the gatehouse which was quaint and quirky and near to spa and restaurant. The only disappointment was the fish in the restaurant with the evening meal felt like it was supermarket bought. Everything else was of a high standard. Will definitely be returning.

Booked School’s Out – Spa’s In with afternoon tea. Lovely greeting on arrival, nice bright decor. Filled out health assessment and shown to the changing room which was small but nice and clean. Only criticism is there are lots of lockers but if even half occupied no space to sit down. Shown around, all spa rooms around the pool edge so you can almost fall out the sauna into the pool. Only 6 loungers around the pool area, but lots of space outside to sit. There is also a rest room where you can go an have a snooze 😴. I did forget to say before I left that the water in the foot spa was quite hot!l Loved the salt sauna as the heat was bearable. Nice treatment by Beth. Afternoon tea was a real treat, meat free option available. All in all a lovely time was had and would definitely return.

The spa was beautiful, the staff were so lovely. We got a tour of all the areas when we arrived. The treatments were perfect and the Afternoon tea was very good with a great selection. The breakfast was buffet style which I enjoyed. But the package included an evening meal which was disappointing for a 4 star hotel and spa. The food was fine similar to what could be found for a pub lunch. Not the standard I expected at all for the price paid for the package. I would not recommend the cocktails as my mojito tasted of pure soda water with no mint or lime flavour and was an additional cost. I highly recommend the spa, afternoon tea and location it was very relaxing it’s just the evening meal let down the experience.
