Horwood House in rural Buckinghamshire is a charming Grade II listed property set in 38 acres of beautiful grounds and landscaped gardens. The hotel has undergone a recent refurbishment to offer modern guestrooms, an excellent spa, and an ambience that is truly in keeping with the calming countryside surroundings.

From entry to exit, staff went above and beyond to make the experience the best it could be. In particular Bilal who did the massage was exceptional. My sister and I had an amazing time and will be returning!

Went on a Monday almost had the spa to ourselves. All the staff were very warm and friendly. Had the 60 min body massage which was great and sorted out my tight neck and shoulders. There was plenty of seats inside and out to sit and relax. The outside court yard was a great sunny spot.Swimming pool was a good size, with some seating. There was a spacious sauna and steam room. All the facilities were clean, in good condition and tidy. Water was easily available. Afternoon tea was well presented with home made scones and a variety of individual cakes. The hotel is set in extensive grounds including a secret garden. The only slight disappointment was the lack of shampoo, body wash and moisturizer and the not so powerful shower. But overall we had a fabulous day of relaxation in a calm and well run spa. Would definitely recommend.

I did the midweek treat spa day and all I can say is I had such a lovely, relaxing time. I started off using the gym which is reasonable size with lots of equipment to use and not busy at all. I then went to the spa lounge and had my fruit platter and tea. After this I had my treatment I opted for the back,neck and shoulder massage which was so nice. I then used the other facilities like the pool, sauna spa lounge etc. I had my afternoon tea booked for 14:30 and it was incredible, it was served in Harry’s bar and kitchen and all I can say is I was well catered for and the decor is lovely. I went on a Wednesday morning so it was not busy at all so pretty much had the whole time to myself, I will definitely be returning.

On arrival we were surprised there was no welcome offer of a cup of tea or coffee. The venue itself is very nice. All 4 of us had massages which were excellent and the 2 course lunch (included in the spa day price) was superb. Nice gardens and beautiful surrounding countryside.
